Several members of Team India, including Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Shardul Thakur, arrived in Barbados on Saturday, July 1, ahead of their tour of the West Indies.

In a photo shared as an Instagram story, Jadeja first posed for a snapshot with Thakur at the Miami International Airport Hotel before arriving in the Caribbean islands. The 34-year-old then shared a photo with Ashwin and Thakur after arriving in the West Indies. He commented on the post:

“Barbados Landing.”

Ashwin also threw in a scenic view from a beach in Barbados to confirm their arrival in the West Indies.

The remaining members of Team India are expected to arrive in WI soon.

The visitors will play first in the two-Test series, which kicks off at Windsor Park in Dominica from 7.30pm IST onwards, starting July 12.

Jadeja will now look to continue his decent form after scalping four wickets and scoring 48 runs in the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC). Meanwhile, Thakur is also expected to continue his heroics as an all-rounder. The 31-year-old recently took two wickets and smashed a half century in the final of the World Tennis Championships.

Meanwhile, Ashwin, the world’s No. 1 bowler, will be looking forward to playing both Tests after being benched for the World Tennis Championships final. The all-rounder loves to play against the West Indies, taking 83 wickets in 11 Tests. Surprisingly, the right-handed batter has also knocked out four centuries against WI, including a buzzer away from home.

The trio will be looking to ensure that Team India starts the 2023-25 ​​WTC Championship cycle on a winning note.
