A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and during investigation, the incident was found to be a pre-planned murder.
Three couples have been arrested for allegedly killing a relative over a land dispute here last month, a police official said on Sunday. The official said Jarran Lal was allegedly hacked to death by a tractor near his house in Chak Malal village in Khor, on the outskirts of Jammu on June 21.
He said a case was registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and during investigation, it was found out that the incident was a pre-planned murder.
The official said that the six suspects were arrested during raids in different places in Katwa, Samba and Resi regions, and the tractor that was used to commit the crime was also seized.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Madan Lal, his wife Soma Devi, Sudesh Kumar alias Shinda, his wife Neelam Kumari and Swarn Singh alias Josha and his wife Seema Devi, all residents of Prangla village in Khor.
