Stamp Fairtex has been a professional fighter since she was a schoolgirl, so it’s surprising she still remembers how her first fight broke out.
While she was far from the starlet she is now, Stamp has already shown some of the brilliance she has now.
However, her opponent probably didn’t appreciate it.
Stamp hopped onto Reddit this week and had a little fun with some of her fans heading into her match against Alyse Anderson at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on Prime Video.
During an Ask Me Anything session on r/MMA, Stamp vividly remembered what happened in her first fight.
“My opponent cried!” Stamp books.
Admittedly, Stamp and her opponents were still quite young at the time, having your opponent yell in front of you must have been quite the experience.
Fortunately for Stamp, this kind of thing never happens again.
Stamp, this time around, returns to the circuit Friday at a sold-out First Bank Center in Colorado for her US debut against Anderson. He will face Thai superstar “Lil” Savage in a highly volatile match.
The winner of the two fighters could get a shot at the Interim Women’s World Heavyweight Championship against Ham Seo Hee. Stamp, as the number one contender in the division, wants nothing more than to finish off Anderson before getting his crack at ONE Championship Gold.
Anderson, however, is a tenacious fighter and defeats Asha Roca in her final match at ONE 157.
