The death toll has risen to 5,31,659 with 17 deaths, including nine reconciled by Kerala, according to data updated at 8 am.

India recorded 2,961 COVID-19 infections in a single day while active cases fell to 30,041 from 33,232 the previous day, according to data from the Federal Ministry of Health updated on Saturday.

The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,44,05,550, and active cases now make up 0.07 percent of the total infections.

The ministry said the national recovery rate from COVID-19 was recorded at 98.75 percent while the death rate was recorded at 1.18 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health website, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
