Initially identified as a well-defined low pressure area, it developed into a depression on Tuesday evening, bringing winds of 45 to 55 kph and gusts of up to 65 kph over the southeast Bay of Bengal, according to the Indian Meteorological Service. to divide.

The weather system is expected to intensify into a deep depression by 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. Within the next 12 hours, it is expected to develop into Cyclone Mocha, with wind speeds of 80 to 90 kmph and gusts of up to 100kmph.
