ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani court on Wednesday charged Imran Khan in Toshakhana corruption casein a new problem for the former prime minister who was arrested by paramilitary groups the previous day from the High Court building in Islamabad.
Khan, 70, was in the dock buying gifts, including an expensive Graf wristwatch, which he acquired as first president at a discount from a state warehouse called Toshakhana and sold for a profit.
Established in 1974, Toshakhana is an administratively controlled department of the Cabinet Division and stores precious gifts offered by heads of governments, other states and foreign dignitaries to rulers, parliamentarians, bureaucrats and officials.

Khan was present at the District and Sessions Court where Judge Humayun Dilawar held the hearing.
The case was brought last year by the Election Commission of Pakistan and Khan has skipped several hearings in the past months.
