Akiva Goldsman, the show’s creator, told Entertainment Weekly, “It’s a 10-hour sequential piece but it moves. The point of view moves. That kind of narrative frame moves, so it allows you to have a little bit of a jolt to see the new stuff.”

Tom Holland spoke to the publication about playing Dany and said, “I’ve had a lot of time playing Nathan Drake and playing Spider-Man, characters you can rely on, people you feel safe around and, ultimately, people who feel really capable. I really enjoyed playing Dany in Those earlier episodes where I was able to draw on my more vulnerable side.”

The show’s headline read, “The Crowded Room follows Danny Sullivan (Tom Holland), a man who is arrested after participating in a shooting in New York City in 1979. A captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with inquisitive detective Rhea Goodwin ( Amanda Seyfried), the story of Danny’s life unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him, and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-changing discovery.”

The Crowded Room begins streaming on Apple TV Plus starting June 9.
