In a horrific incident reported in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh, an 11-year-old boy strangled his friend to death, struck his head and slashed him with a sharp knife, police said.
The quarrel, which the police suspected was the result of an old dispute, broke out between three underage boys, after which the youngest committed the heinous crime.
According to the police, three suspects called the boy to a deserted place and killed him.
“The trio, aged 16, 14 and 11 years respectively, including two brothers, summoned the 12-year-old boy to a deserted place in Magharkatha village, about 28 kilometers from the Sioni district headquarters, on Sunday,” an inspector said. Barghat Police Station, Prasanna Sharma told PTI.
They planned the crime and called their 12-year-old friend to a secluded place. They caught him and strangled him with a bicycle chain. When the boy cried in pain, they hit his head with a large stone and slaughtered him with a sharp knife used to slaughter goats.”
Later, all the accused stuffed the body in a plastic bag and threw it on a pile of gravel near their home. The agency stated that the crime appeared after a woman spotted the blood-stained bag and reported it to the police.
While the police are shocked that the underage accused has committed the crime like the usual murder, a case is registered against them.
The three accused were arrested and brought to court, which sent them to a reformatory for 14 days.
