Norma Hunt, the mother of the Kansas City Chiefs, has died at the age of 85. The cause of death has not been determined yet.
Norma Lane Knobel, as she was known before her marriage, married Lamar Hunt in 1964. She was a school teacher and was associated with the Dallas Texans in the AFL. After the NFL placed the Dallas Cowboys, the AFL franchise moved to Kansas City to become known as the Chiefs.
She was predeceased by her husband, who passed away in 2006. She has two sons, Clark and Daniel. Clark is the current President and CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Her quiet and deep faith has supported her throughout her life, and we take great comfort in knowing she is at home with the Lord. She will be missed by our family, the extended chiefs and families of FC Dallas, and everyone who knew her.”
