Maharashtra State Minister Dipak Kesarkar has held a meeting with several social organizations in Kolhapur in the wake of the tense situation there after stones were thrown during a protest against the alleged use of Tipu Sultan’s image along with an audio message dismissed as a ‘status’ on social media by a few residents. local.

Kesarkar, Minister of School Education and Marathi Language who is also Minister Regent of Kolhapur District, urged the locals to maintain peace.

The meeting, which was chaired by Kiskarkar on Wednesday, was attended by members of several civil society organizations. “During the meeting, we swore that we would follow the path as shown by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj. A positive image emerged in the meeting and it will show the direction for the whole country,” Kesarkar told reporters after the meeting.

Asked if the riots at Shivaji Chowk in Kolhapur had been premeditated as a large number of stones were thrown at one time, he said the matter would be investigated and whoever was behind the incident would be determined.
