Arsenal is likely to miss Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby in the next transfer window. This is according to Football LDN’s Tom Canton, who says Diaby’s transfer is a long way off.

Discussing the purchasing power of the Gunners this summer, Canton broached the fact that they are in the market for a two-man midfielder. He added that they would spend large sums to acquire these players, leaving little or no scope to explore the possibility of signing Diaby.

Speaking about reports of the Leverkusen winger, Canton said:

“I think they can spend it on players this summer, and then the rest will be smaller. I don’t think Diaby will happen this summer. I would be very surprised if that happened. I don’t expect that. To.”

Moussa Diaby is a quick and skilful winger who loves to attack from wide areas and has a knack for scoring goals.

With his skill set, he could be the perfect choice for a rotation with Bukayo Saka. The Frenchman scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 48 matches across competitions for Bayer Leverkusen this season. He can add value to Arsenal’s front line.

Saka has been under tremendous pressure in the past two seasons and has appeared in almost every Premier League game for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. It’s no secret that he can get some rest, and Diaby could be the perfect cover.
