In their phone conversation, Ramaphosa conveyed his full support for India’s initiatives as part of its current G20 presidency and said he was looking forward to his visit to India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Saturday as they reviewed the progress of bilateral cooperation, which is based on the historic and strong people-to-people ties. Modi also thanked him for transporting 12 cheetahs to India earlier this year, according to a statement.

She added that they exchanged views on many regional and global issues of common interest, including cooperation in BRICS in the context of South Africa’s presidency this year.
