Valentina Shevchenko can’t stop blushing as superfan comes up with a surprise proposal during UFC 289 media day event

Valentina Shevchenko was surprised by a surprise request this weekend as a fan let go of her shame during UFC 289’s media day event.

The former women’s flyweight champion appeared on stage alongside Juliana Pena, who was originally scheduled to main event this weekend, but was forced out due to an injury.

During the segment where the couple answered questions, a fan had everyone in the room and on stage laughing. The fan asked two questions on “Bullet”:

“I have two questions, both for Valentina Shevchenko. One, Are you single? And two, Do you want my number?”

The room filled with laughter and Shevchenko was caught blushing with a big smile on her face. In response, the 35-year-old thanked fans for the questions but admitted she wasn’t sure she wanted the number:

“Thank you! I’m single but not sure about the number haha!”

Valentina Shevchenko reveals her thinking before the rematch with Alexa Grasso

In one of the biggest upsets of the year, Valentina Shevchenko lost the women’s flyweight title to Alexa Grasso at UFC 285 back in March. The Mexican fighter locked in a fourth round face crank to secure the victory.

It was Shevchenko’s first loss in the flyweight division, her first no-decision loss under the UFC banner, and her first defeat in her entire MMA career.

While many may understand that a fighter takes some time away after such a traumatic loss, Valentina Shevchenko has promised fans that she will come back and better than ever.

“I’m going to go out there and finish the fight. And that’s what I feel I have to do because it’s very important to uh… not just win the points but definitely kind of, to show your superior level on this. It’s really very important to me.”
