The death toll has risen to 5,31,891 with three deaths including one which has been reconciled by Kerala, said the data updated at 8 am.

India has recorded 140 new coronavirus infections, while active cases have dropped to 2,450, according to data from the Federal Ministry of Health updated on Sunday.

The tally of the Covid case has been recorded at Rs 4.49 crore (4,49,92,788).

The ministry said active cases now account for 0.01% of the total infections and the national recovery rate from COVID-19 was recorded at 98.81%.

The number of people who recovered from the disease increased to 4,44,58,447 and the death rate was recorded at 1.18%. According to the ministry’s website, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
