Prabhakaran alleged in the video that his shop-running wife in Tamil Nadu was severely beaten by 120 men, stripped half naked while her shop was vandalized in Thiruvannamalai district.

In a shocking video that surfaced on social media, an army member named Jawan claimed his wife was stripped half naked and severely beaten by more than 100 men in Tamil Nadu.

The video was shared by retired Army officer, Lt. Col. N. Thiagarajan, and featured Army Gwan Havildar Prabhakaran. He hails from Badavedu village in Tamil Nadu and is currently working in Kashmir.

Prabhakaran alleged in the video that her wife, who runs a shop in Tamil Nadu, was severely beaten by 120 men, and stripped half naked while her shop was vandalized in Thiruvannamalai district.

The military also informed Gwan that he had lodged a complaint with the Deputy Chief Minister who confirmed that action had been taken in the case.

“My wife was physically assaulted by 120 men and the shop stuff was thrown away. I have sent a petition to the SP and he has assured action. DGP sir please help. They attacked my family and threatened them with knives. My wife was stripped half naked and badly beaten,” Prabhakaran can be heard saying in the video, which was recorded in Tamil.

Meanwhile, Kandhavasal Police, who conducted a preliminary investigation into the incident, issued a statement and claimed that the incident was “exaggerated”.

According to media reports, a quarrel broke out between Al Jawan’s wife and the men over a land lease dispute. The woman reportedly runs a shop on land leased by the Renugambal temple.

The police told the media that the agreement to return the land for money was signed in February, but Al-Jawan’s wife and her mother refused to vacate the land, after which the clash broke out between the two parties.

Police added that the women were not assaulted at all.

On the other hand, BJP President of Tamil Nadu K Annamalai assessed the incident and said that he had spoken with Havildar.

“Had a phone conversation with Havildar, who bravely serves our country in Kashmir and his wife, in Tiruvannamalai city. Really touched to hear her story and so ashamed that this has happened to her on our Tamil soil! People in our party are rushing to take care of her now who is in hospital in Velor”.
