Senior political aide to Prime Minister Nitish Kumar said on Sunday that Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir will arrive in the capital of Bihar next week to attend the June 23 meeting of the opposition parties of the BJP.

This was stated by JD(U) National President Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lallan at the party headquarters in Bihar state here.

The leaders of 18 parties agreed to attend the meeting. Lallan said NCP President Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, both former chief ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, had agreed to attend.

Earlier, Lallan said the leaders who gave their approval were Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun outside the Congress, along with Arvind Kejriwal (AAP), Mamata Banerjee (TMC), MK Stalin (DMK), Hemant Suren (JMM), Sharad Pawar (Party National Conference) . and Akhilesh Yadav (SP) and Uddhav Thackeray (Shiv Sena-UBT).

JD(U) workers expressed their excitement by raising the phrase “Nitish for PM” only to be alerted by the National Chairman who reminded them that the CM, the party’s supreme leader, had repeatedly excluded itself from the race.

Nitish Kumar has repeatedly said that he is not required to be the prime minister. Lallan said such slogans will not do his efforts in forming opposition unity.

“Please remember that he resigned from the NDA in August last year with a vow to defeat the BJP. Let us dedicate ourselves to the cause. After the Lok Sabha polls are done and the result is as per expectations, all parties can sit together and decide who will be the Chief Minister,” added Lallan. “.
