Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday held a courtesy meeting in Gandhinagar with five IIM alumni, who will offer their services free of charge to rework and reposition Garvi Gurjari Emporium, a Gujarat government project established to identify, revive and develop handicrafts and handlooms in the state.
According to a statement from the government, Garvi Gurjari Emporium recently contacted the country’s major management colleges, asking for assistance with the project.
Subsequently, five alumni—three from IIM Ahmedabad and two from IIM Bengaluru—expressed their willingness to help with the project pro bono for a period of five to seven weeks.
The projects the five Garvi Gurjari Emporium will assist with will cover topics such as digital platforms and social media marketing strategies, brand positioning, competition and rebranding, ERP, as well as consumer behavior and analytics to increase visibility and reach online.
