Peshawar: Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms have killed at least 34 people and injured more than 100 others in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwest Pakistan.
According to the Regional Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the torrential rains that swept through the region on Saturday left people dead banSmoke Lucky Marwat And Karak interrupts.
The casualties occurred as a result of collapsing walls and uprooting trees in parts of the southern regions.
More than 110 people with injuries have been taken to hospitals.
The provincial government has allocated 40 million rupees for rehabilitation and relief activities.

The authorities fear that the death toll may rise further.
The relief secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa directed the concerned authorities to expedite relief activities in the affected areas.
