On Saturday, Mahindra retweeted a video that showed a car made using khat (a local bed commonly found in Indian villages), which was supported on wheels and attached to a motorized motor.

This undated video was posted to Twitter by Twitter user MANJARI DAS (@ManjariDas92). Das wrote, “Another gad that can be really useful in villages for mainly emergency needs or a medical situation.”

In response, Mahindra wrote, “I must have gotten this video from at least ten friends. I didn’t touch it because it looked more like an attention-grabbing prank and also violated most of the regulations. But to be honest, I never thought about the app you referenced. Yeah, who knows , can turn into a savior in unusual situations in the hinterland…”.

Commenting on this, a Twitter user wrote, “India needs lost cost solutions. Many times I have seen poor people carrying sick and dead loved ones on their shoulders, on their shoulders etc. So in that respect something like this could be a blessing.”

Another person said, “These days I find so many videos of simple (not necessarily safe) solutions. One of the good things is that people whether rich or poor are thinking of solving problems with technology. THIS IS PRECIOUS!!!”.
