Wrestler Finch Phogat on Sunday lent her support to the ongoing protest of farmers led by Samyukt Kisan Morcha (non-political) over their various demands in Patiala district of Punjab.
Taking part in the farmers’ protest in Patiala on Sunday, Bogat said it was not good for the country that one should stage a protest against their demands. She said that governments are formed to work for the people, not to harass them.
“We fully support the farmers,” she said, and asked the government to listen to the protesting farmers. SKM (Non-Political) has organized an anti-Punjab government protest outside the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited office over the past several days in support of their power supply demands.
