Having the right aspect for your build is key to getting the most out of your character class and tackling some of the toughest endgame content in Diablo 4. There are plenty of unique and Legendary aspects you’ll be able to obtain as you explore the open world of Sanctuary, and each one suits a specific playstyle.

This is one of the reasons why many in the community are curious about some of the things they can do with aspects in the game. One of the most common questions players ask is about the ability to stack the same side effects on top of each other to double their effect.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to stack sides in Diablo 4. The same unique passive items won’t double, and you’ll be required to pop them on the appropriate equipment to get the most out of them.

Aspects do not stack in Diablo 4

As mentioned earlier, Aspects won’t stack in Diablo 4, even if you’re spinning the same idle unique on multiple gears. Hence, if you print more than one side of a certain type in your build, you will only receive bonuses for one of them. The other side will then be highlighted in grey.

Hence, to get the most out of your sides, you need to imprint them on the right gear. For example, the Druid’s Crashstone Aspect deals +40% more critical strike damage when used on crowd control enemies. However, the damage dealt will be +50% if you are imprinting this aspect on the amulet and not on your weapons and armor. Therefore, it is very important to get aspects into gear where you can get the most out of them.

Since Aspects don’t stack in Diablo 4, if you decide to print two Crashstone Aspects in your build, you won’t get the +80% bonus. It stays at 40% or 50%, and you’ll have wasted one Aspect slot on a late game build.

Aside from acquiring aspects from gear, the most reliable way to obtain them would be from the multiple dungeons located around the map. The more you explore and complete these, the more unique and legendary aspects you will unlock as you make your way to Level 3 and 4 of the world.
