The California nonprofit announced Monday that it, along with Eldridge Asset Management, has acquired all of the assets, rights and property of the Golden Globes from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but the deal will result in the termination of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and its membership.
Dick Clark Productions, which manages the Billboard Music Awards and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, will plan, host and produce the annual Golden Globe Awards. The company also created the Golden Globe Foundation, which will continue HFPA’s legacy of entertainment-related charitable giving.

The dissolution of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the transfer of the Golden Globe to Dick Clark Productions followed several controversies surrounding the press organization. In 2021, NBC declined to air the 2022 annual show due to concerns about a lack of diversity in the group’s ranks. The Golden Globes returned to NBC in 2023.
