According to CBS Sports, Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia has set its sights on Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar after failing to reach Lionel Messi. It was reported that the Saudi Professional League club sent a delegation to the French capital to meet the entourage of the former Barcelona star. It is believed that the purpose of the visit is to test the waters and understand if there is any interest on the part of the player.
The report claimed that Paris Saint-Germain No. 10 could get a deal similar to the one that Al-Nassr offered to Cristiano Ronaldo in December. The Brazil ace could stand the chance of making €200m a year if he agrees to move to Saudi Arabia.
PSG, on the other hand, may not mind a transfer, as they have reportedly been looking to offload the striker for a while. Les Parisiens is believed to have offered the 31-year-old’s services to several European clubs but has not received any official offers.
On the other hand, Al-Hilal is ready to pay 45 million euros to withdraw the player from the hands of Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Given the fact that the Parisians signed him for €222m in 2017, PSG would swallow a huge loss if he accepted Al Hilal’s offer.
