This is the first time in Nadia district that a shop serves a large piece of lamb weighing 500 grams with biryani. At Akanta Apan in Nadia’s Chakdaha, the mutton biryani is served beautifully with a huge chunk of mutton.

Many people love biryani even in this hot weather. The special attraction of this restaurant is the Mutton Biryani which is made from a 500 gram piece of mutton. Looks as good as it tastes. The price of a whole mutton biryani weighing 500 grams is only 550 rupees. At least two people can eat biryani together. There will be three potatoes and two eggs with unlimited rice for two people. From the biryani rice to the fries to the mutton, everything was so tender and cooked to just the right temperature.

Meat biryani is cooked by steaming it completely in the pot. It takes at least four to five hours to prepare the biryani. “A day at least five to six large pots of biryani are sold,” said the owner of the restaurant Subrata.

“Many people from outside West Bengal come to eat biryani here. My restaurant and food have now gone viral on social media. People come from far away to eat and make videos of this food.”
