German kickboxer Arian Sadekovich is still hot on the trail of world lightweight boxing champion Regian Ercel, who he believes beat him in a title showdown last year.

The two world-class forwards met at ONE:156 in April 2022 where the champion retained his world title via unanimous decision.

Arian Sadikovich put in a strong performance in the competition, even crushing Regian Ercel in the second round with a knee.

However, “The Immortal” survived the knee and found its bearings again as the fight progressed, despite “Game Over”‘s vicious beating in the championship rounds.

In the end, Regian Send is adjudged the winner, to his relief.

After his latest win at ONE Fight Night 11 on Prime Video on June 9 in Bangkok, Arian Sadikovic once again insisted on defeating Regian Eersel in their first fight. And contrary to what many believe, he won more than just the second round.

He said:

“First of all, I think he didn’t win the first fight. It was very close in my eyes. I see a lot of people saying I just won the second round but I don’t agree. I think I won more than just the second round.”

It’s something he’d want to ‘correct’ if given another shot at the title, which he built his claim on after defeating former title contender Nieky Holzken via unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 11.

By the way, Regian Eersel, also the world lightweight champion in Muay Thai, made his first appearance at ONE Fight Night 11, successfully defending his Muay Thai gold by knockout against Russian contender Dmitry Menshikov.

The ONE Fight Night 11 reboot is available for free on Amazon Prime in North America.
