It is reported that Lionel Messi and Antonella Roccuzzo will enroll their children in the same school that Shakira’s children attend in Miami.
The Messi family will head to Miami, Florida, this summer after the Argentine star agreed to join Major League Soccer side Inter Miami. He will also be joined by his three children, Thiago, 10, Mateo, 7, and Ciro, 5, in the United States.
According to Argentine newspaper La Nacion (via El Tiempo), Messi will be looking to enroll his three children in the same school as pop star Shakira’s children. They will be reunited, because the father of the Colombian children is Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique.
Shakira’s children, Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8, attend Miami Country Day School, which is one of the most exclusive schools in the area. They will likely be joined at school by Messi and Antonella Roccuzzo’s children.
Miami Country Day School claims (via its website):
“Dedicated to educating the whole child, preparing them for college as well as life after school.”
And she adds:
“(It is) a nonprofit, co-educational, independent learning community of approximately 1,270 students in Pre-K 3-12, designed to meet the needs of every student, every day, and everywhere.”
The school is within 25 minutes’ drive of popular destinations such as Concunt Grove, Aventura Mall, Central Airport and Lincoln Road. It’s also located 15 minutes north of downtown Miami.
The school is said to have an annual fee of $33.8-46 million. This payment does not include uniforms or transportation, but each child receives a lunch prepared by chefs and nutritionists.
Lionel Messi’s children are set to attend their first school outside of Europe. His three children and Antonella Roccuzzo may have some familiar faces to help them adjust to life in the States.
Shakira took her two sons to Miami after her split from Pique last year. The Colombian headed to the United States in April, to leave Barcelona after spending several years in Catalonia with the former Blaugrana defender.

Lionel Messi sealed his legacy as one of, if not the greatest players in history. The legendary striker led Argentina to victory at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in eight matches along the way.
The soon-to-be Inter Miami forward finally got his hands on the World Cup and was soon showing it off in his home country. He did so during the March international break that saw him feature in friendlies against Curacao (7-0 win) and Panama (2-0 win).
Lionel Messi took to the field at Estadio Monumental with the World Cup and his family. His fellow Argentines and their family members also joined him.
It was a heartwarming moment and Roccuzzo couldn’t resist posting it on Instagram. She uploaded a picture of Messi and their three children celebrating Argentina’s World Cup victory.
Lionel Messi is set to play for La Abíceleste in friendlies against Australia (June 15) and Indonesia (June 19). He will then head to Miami with Roccuzzo and their children as they begin the next phase of their lives in the United States.
