The Lyca Kovai Kings were required to bat first and Sai Sudharsan showed masterful batting while hitting in three. He played an impressive knock of 86 off 45 balls to help his team put up 179 on the board. He hit eight fours and four fours maximum and moved forward with his rich form. Tamizhans picked up seven wickets in all, with Vijay Shankar finishing with three while giving up just 26 runs in four overs.

In response, the Altamizans faltered because their fighters failed to adapt to the conditions. Tushar Raheja top-scored with 33 but a lack of contributions from the other two batsmen saw them both check out over 109 to lose the match by 70 runs. Skipper SRK starred with the ball for the Kings finishing with figures of 3/20 in four overs to help his side win the match by a wide margin.
