The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday released photographs of 45 people allegedly involved in the attack on the Indian High Commission in London on March 19 and asked for the public’s help in identifying these perpetrators.

“Request identification/information On 19.03.23 these people took part in an attack on the High Commission of India, London. They caused grievous injuries and disrespect the Indian national flag. If anyone has any information on it, please Whatsapp/DM @ +917290009373,” he said. NIA in a tweet.

This comes a few days after the National Intelligence Agency recently released five closed-circuit television footage of the attack on the Indian High Commission organized by Khalistan’s supporters.

In the videos, the individuals accused of the attack can be seen gathering outside the Indian Embassy and subsequently launching an attack. They were seen raising religious flags and chanting slogans as depicted in the tape.

Following the protest organized by “pro-Khelistani activists” at the Indian High Commission headquarters in London on 19 March, where the national flag was taken down, the Delhi Police Special Cell recorded a First Information Report (FIR).

The case was later taken over by the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) after the Union Home Ministry directed the Delhi Police to initiate legal proceedings.

The FIR was filed under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. An investigation into the accident has begun.

In response to the protest, the Indian government summoned the British Deputy High Commissioner, to seek an explanation for the lack of security during the demonstration.

The British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis, condemned the incident as “shameful” and “totally unacceptable”. “I condemn today’s outrageous actions against the individuals and buildings of @HCI_London – totally unacceptable,” he wrote on Twitter.

Later in a phone call with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the issue of security of Indian diplomatic institutions and called on the UK government to take strong action against anti-Indian elements.
