Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also said that ‘Dharmanagri’ Ayodhya will be a model for urban development and potable water will be available 24/7.

The Uttar Pradesh government can ban the consumption of meat and alcohol in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath said during his visit to Ayodhya on Wednesday that since it is a religious city, public sentiment should be respected and consumption of meat and alcoholic beverages should be prohibited.

He also said that the ‘Dharmanagri’ of Ayodhya will be a model for urban development and drinking water will be available 24/7. “Every devotee/tourist who visits Ayodhya should return with peace, contentment and joy,” the center manager said while reviewing various development works and told the officials to ensure quality and timely completion of projects.

CM Yogi arrived in Ayodhya for a two-day tour to assess the progress of the construction of the Ram Temple as well as other development projects. “The people of the country and the world are eager to see Divya, Bhavya, Navya Ayodhya,” he said.

In the review meeting, the Chief Minister said that public utility projects worth thousands of crore are underway in Ayodhya.

He said that a water action plan and a water balance plan should be prepared to make drinking water available in Ayodhya 24 x 7. He said that the construction of an underground sewage network and the development of Ayodhya as a solar city should be done within a specific time frame.

During the presentation at the review meeting, the gallery manager was informed that 30 per cent of the four-lane works have been completed from NH-27 bypass to Tedhi Bazar Shri Ram Janmabhoomi via Mohbra Bazar, while 95 per cent of the four-lane construction Work has been completed from Ayodhya Sultanpur National Highway NH-330 to Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram International Airport.

More than 84 per cent of the runway at Mariada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport under construction has been completed. Instructions have been given to speed up building construction work.
