It’s a fact that Golden State Warriors superstar Steve Curry changed the way basketball is played with his stellar shot from outside the arc. While most former players still praise the game’s physique at the time, Jerry West appreciates the change in the game and gives credit to the Warriors guard.

West had the opportunity to watch Curry work his game as he served as the CEO of the Golden State team. From 2011 to 2017, “The Logo” saw Steve grow as a player, propelling him to an All-Star point honour.

In a new episode of Podcast P with Paul Georgethe former Los Angeles Lakers star shared his respects to the four-time NBA champ:

“Steve is an amazing person, what a great guy. And again, he’s different than everyone thinks he is. He’s a better all-around player than he’s given credit for. He’s really good.” West said.

“When you watch him now, at one point I didn’t think he was such a good defender. I think he’s a great defender. I’d like to play with him, he’ll pass the ball.”

Jerry West knows that Steph Curry’s game goes beyond his shooting 💯

“But he has that unique skill that changes the game so much and the more you focus on it, the more these little kids you’re talking about, according to their parents, push them in that direction.”

“For me, I don’t want to see Shaquille O’Neal try to shoot threes, and I know that. I’ve seen him shoot free throws. Steph Curry, he’ll be here forever.”

The impact Curry made on the game of basketball will probably last forever. Based on how young guys play basketball now, it’s clear they’re trying to embody their inner Chef Curry.

While not everyone will be able to shoot like him, it can still be satisfying to see one player’s impact on the sport.

Many people have tried to emulate Steve Curry on the field. Although it is not easy to knock down a long-range shot, many still try to do it. Part of what makes Curry so impressive is how relaxed he is on the field.

In addition, his celebrations on the court were iconic and many tried to master that as well.
