In a gruesome incident, a class 10th student was burned alive by unknown persons in Babatla district of Andhra Pradesh on Friday.
The attackers doused 15-year-old U Amarnath with petrol and set him on fire while he was on his way to education. He was admitted to the Government General Hospital in Guntur in critical condition, where he died.

Amarnath, a class 10 student in a local school, was going to study on his bike when he was stopped by some youths near Redlapalem. They doused him with petrol and set him on fire.
Hearing the boy’s cries, the locals rushed to put out the fire and took him to GGH Guntur. However, he died of his injuries. Announcing his death, the boy told the police that Venkateshwar Reddy and a few others had burned him.
Meanwhile, Amarnath’s grandfather Raza says that a boy who was harassing Amarnath’s sister is responsible for the murder. Amarnath had pulled the boy out for teasing his sister. He had questioned the boy for wandering into the college where his sister was studying.
The police registered a case and started chasing the attackers.
