Ashish Vidyarthi tied the knot with Rupali Barua in an intimate ceremony on May 25. The actor had earlier married to Piloo Vidyarthi. The couple filed for mutual divorce in 2022 and are co-parenting with their 22-year-old son, Arth. Ashish faced some criticism for remarrying as there were rumors that he and Billu were still married. However, the actor explained, in a social media post, that they had opted for a mutual divorce before his second marriage.
The actor opened up, in a video message, about how he had always wanted to get married again after he and Piloo divorced. He said, “I had a firm belief that I wanted to get married because I wanted to travel with someone. So I’m literally taking the word out into the universe. I was 55 at the time and said I wanted someone to get married. That’s how I met Rupali Barua. We started chatting, we met a year ago.” Then we found out something interesting about each other and thought we could walk together as husband and wife, thus Rupali and I got married. She is 50 and I am 57 not 60. But age doesn’t matter my friend. Both of us can be happy, No matter how old he is.”
