Now, some fans of the baseball series are concerned that recent gameplay changes to The Show are following the same trajectory as the aforementioned games.

The developers at Sony announced that they made higher player cards available in general, reducing the time players needed to obtain them as they did in previous versions. However, this is a dangerous trend that could encourage gamers to spend less time grinding, which has been one of my favorite aspects of Diamond Dynasty mode.
As someone who refuses to pay for these microtransactions, I hope that companies will put less emphasis on these purchases and keep gaming fun. However, many video game microtransaction critics have stated that while they are in MLB games, they are less predatory compared to the likes of Madden.
