North London giants Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be considering a move for Chelsea target and Villarreal striker Nicholas Jackson.

According to English outlet The Sun (via Fichajes.net), new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, who is set to officially take charge on July 1, wants the club to sign Jackson. Jackson has a £34m release clause in his contract, and Pochettino is reportedly pushing the west Londoners to pay it. However, Chelsea are not the only team interested in the 21-year-old forward, with Tottenham also retaining interest.

Tottenham are said to be looking to bolster their attack ahead of the 2023-24 season and Jackson is an interesting person. They consider the possibility of a formal offer, which may be close to a release clause for the young striker, and steal it away under the noses of their opponents in London.

Jackson, who won one title with the Senegal national football team, enjoyed an impressive campaign in Villarreal colors in the 2022-23 season. In 38 matches across competitions, he has scored 13 goals and five assists. His contract with Yellow Submarine expires at the end of June 2026.

Chelsea sells three first-team players to Saudi clubs

Renowned Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Chelsea are looking to transfer three first-team players to Saudi Arabia this summer. N’Golo Kante, who will become a free agent on June 30, has already agreed to join Saudi Professional League-winning Al-Ittihad.

According to Di Marzio, goalkeeper Edouard Mendy could leave the club this summer. The Senegalese, who have slipped below Kepa Arrizabalaga in the standings, are strongly linked with a move to Al-Ahly. His compatriot, Kalidou Coulibaly, could leave west London for Saudi Arabia, where he is being tipped to join Al Hilal. Finally, there is Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech, who is courted by Al-Nassr from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Although potential salaries have not been disclosed, it is believed that all three players will enjoy great pay rates.

Ziyech and Mendy have two years left on their contracts, while Coulibaly, who joined the club last summer, has three contracts. It will be interesting to see how much demand the Stamford Bridge kit has for the services of all three players this summer.
