After a few days of uncertainty, the Pakistan Football Association confirmed that its team will travel to India to compete in the Pakistan Football Federation Championship. The Pakistan team is scheduled to play their opening match against host India on Wednesday at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium at 7.30pm IST. According to media reports, the team was initially supposed to head to India on Sunday morning. But they had to skip their scheduled flight due to visa issues.

The squad was initially expected to land in Bengaluru after the conclusion of the Four Nation Cup. They were in Mauritius for this event.

The PFF accused the country’s sports council of delaying the IOC for the team to travel to India, while the council responded by saying that the federation had not submitted the documents in time.

An official of the Korean Security Agency had told earlier PTI That there was no concern about the arrival of the neighboring team.

“The Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (Ministry of Home Affairs) is closed on weekends and filing their applications with the Indian Embassy in Mauritius. We are in contact with the AIFF (All India Football Federation), who is in contact with the Embassy as well as the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
