India and the United Kingdom concluded the 10th round of talks on a proposed free trade agreement last week, and the next round of negotiations is scheduled for next month, an official statement said on Monday.
Negotiations for the agreement began on January 13, 2021.
“On June 9, India and the UK concluded the 10th round of talks for the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA),” she said.
Technical discussions across 10 policy areas were held in more than 50 separate sessions, according to the statement.
She added that the talks included detailed discussions of the draft treaty in these policy areas, adding that “the eleventh round of negotiations will be held next month.”
