Modi took to Twitter on Monday to acknowledge the enthusiasm expressed by people from different backgrounds, including members of the US Congress, about his upcoming visit to the US. He emphasized that this diverse support underscores the profound depth of the relationship between India and the United States.

In a tweet, Modi said, “People from all walks of life including Congressmen, thought leaders and others share their enthusiasm for my upcoming visit to the USA. I thank them for their kind words. This diverse support underscores the depth of the India-US relationship.”

The prime minister had tagged the Twitter account of the Indian Embassy in the US, where several videos showed individuals like US Congressmen, business leaders, Indian Americans, and others expressing enthusiasm and warmly welcoming Modi ahead of his visit.

Prime Minister Modi has started a visit to the United States from June 21-24, at the invitation of President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. The visit includes significant events, including leading the International Day of Yoga celebrations at United Nations Headquarters and participating in bilateral talks with President Biden in Washington.

The highlight of the trip is a state dinner hosted by Biden on June 22. In addition, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address a joint session of the US Congress on the same day, emphasizing the strength and vitality of the partnership between the two democracies. .

Expressing his gratitude for the “special invitation”, Modi in his departure statement highlighted the importance of the visit and the strong relationship between the two countries.

After his visit to the United States, the Prime Minister will head to Egypt at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
