The ongoing drama between Zion Williamson and Moriah Mills shows no signs of abating. On June 19, Mills escalated the situation by publicly threatening the New Orleans Pelicans, claiming he would “lose everything”.
Moriah Mills has been actively involved on social media throughout the feud, confirming that she was in a relationship with the All-Star until he announced his impending motherhood with Ahkeema.

Since then, Mills has publicly criticized Zion Williamson, revealing intimate details of their relationship, including sharing screenshots of their alleged text messages. Some of these letters purportedly discuss Zion’s suggestions that Mills might move to New Orleans.
For Zion Williamson, the timing for this drama couldn’t be worse. The Duke product is coming off another injury-plagued season, and its standing within the NBA has been negatively affected. Since entering the league in 2019, Zion has only appeared in 114 of a possible 328 matches, missing out on more than half of its potential playing opportunities.
Now, rumors are swirling about Zion Williamson’s future with the New Orleans Pelicans, with the constant turmoil on social media with the possibility of Mills playing a role. Bill Simmons, on the June 18 episode of his podcast, The Bill Simmons Podcast, suggested that Zion could be traded by the Pelicans on draft night.
“The Zionist thing is a real, real subplot. I had someone I trust tell me[Saturday]that he wasn’t going to be on the (New Orleans Pelicans) team on Thursday. I was like, Really? I didn’t hear that. He said, ‘Look. So, there you go.'” “sImmunity said.
Moriah Mills accuses Zion Williamson of extortion.
In another tweet on June 19, Moriah Mills accused Zion Williamson of extortion, claiming she had “physical evidence” that the Pelicans sent someone to blackmail her.
“Zion can’t win a case against me, I have physical proof that he sent people to threaten me and he knows that too @Zionwilliamson. I’m going to court for all the damages I’ve caused in my @NBAPelicansNBA life”
While there is currently no evidence to support Zion’s alleged attempts at extortion, the accusation alone warrants investigation by both the NBA and Pelicans. It should be noted that the NBA is already grappling with a PR issue due to Ja Morant’s recent social media activity, which makes the current social media drama involving Zion an unwelcome distraction.
As the feud between Mills and Zion intensifies, it remains to be seen how publicly Zion Williamson will deal with the increased scrutiny and how the team and the league will handle the situation.
Fortunately, it’s still early summer, allowing time for the current drama to settle and fade into the background.
