The “Agniveers” also performed yoga in unison, embracing the spirit of unity and well-being

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday joined hundreds of Navy personnel aboard INS Vikrant, India’s first indigenously built aircraft carrier here, to take part in yoga ceremonies marking International Yoga Day.

Join the staff in their performance and lead the festivities aboard the sprawling aircraft carrier.

The defense personnel were positioned across their ranks in different rows and performed various positions as instructed for about an hour.

The “Agniveers” also performed yoga in unison, embracing the spirit of unity and well-being.

The ceremony was also attended by the Chief of the Navy, Admiral R Hari Kumar and other senior officers of the Navy and Ministry of Defence. The United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 as International Yoga Day following a resolution put forward by India and co-sponsored by a large number of countries. The first International Day of Yoga was celebrated on June 21, 2015.
