Former WWE Champion returns to AEW Dynamite after 295 days

The former WWE Champion returned to AEW Dynamite after nearly ten months. The star in question is CM Punk.

The night began with a tag team match between The Gunns and The Hardy Boyz. After nearly fifteen minutes of back and forth wrestling, The Gunns secured the win thanks to some help from Bullet Club Gold.

Jeff Hardy was the one who got pinned. After the match, The Gunns and The Bullet Club Gold began attacking The Hardys again. Ricky Starks came to the rescue but the numbers game was too much.

Moments later, FTR rushes to Babyfaces’ aid. Behind them was the returning CM Punk. CMFTR forced The Gunns, Robinson, and White to fall back. Then, Punk grabbed the microphone and set out to challenge for a four-on-four tag team match at This Week’s Collision.

The former WWE Champion also mentioned that he’s not meant to be in Dynamite but still shows up to support his friends.

Punk also seemed to take another shot at the elite when he stated that four-on-one wasn’t an issue for him.

The former WWE Champion has not been seen on Dynamite since his injury at the 2022 AEW All Out show.
