Dani Alves is imprisoned in an alleged sexual assault case that took place on December 31, 2022 in a nightclub in Barcelona.

Alves has now shared his version of the incident. Speaking to journalist Maika Navarro, the Brazilian full-back said (via Record Portugal):

“So far, a scary story has been told involving fear and horror, which has nothing to do with what really happened or what I did. Whatever happened and didn’t happen there is just me, and she knows. That morning, when the woman in question came out of the shower behind me, she stayed in my office.” For some time “.

he added:

“I didn’t stay long because it was already late. I left the disco… I found out from the pictures I saw where the woman was crying. I didn’t see her. If I had seen her crying, I would have stopped to ask what was going on.”

“At that moment, if someone in charge of the disco had asked me to wait because a young woman had assured me that I had sexually attacked her, I would not have gone home. That same night, I would have gone to the police station to explain what had happened.”

Dani Alves says he has forgiven the accused

Dani Alves has been imprisoned since the accident was revealed and he is embarking on the most difficult phase of his career. The player represented major European clubs such as Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

“I don’t know if she has a clear conscience and if she sleeps well at night, but I forgive her. I decided to do this interview, the first interview I’ve done since I’ve been here (in prison), so that people know what I think, and get to know the story based on what I passed him that morning and in that bathroom.”

Dani Alves has already applied for bail on several occasions. However, his requests were denied, as the judge believed the Barcelona legend could flee to Brazil if he was free.
