Former Inter Miami and Los Angeles Galaxy star Adolph Joseph DeLaGarza has slammed Gareth Bale for his comments about Major League Soccer (MLS). He differs with the Welshman in that there is no pressure while playing in the US-based league.
Bale was asked to give one piece of advice to Lionel Messi after his move to MLS, and he claimed the Argentine needed to sit back and relax. The pressure was now off, he added, and there was no need to win every game.
Bale said on BT Sports:
“It’s cooler. If you lose at Real Madrid, it’s like the world has ended. You’ve been crucified. You feel down. You go home and you won’t be happy. They accept losing a little bit more. There are no consequences. You can’t go down there. When you lose One game, go to the next game. They accept losing better there. They know how to lose, but they celebrate every win like you won the championship. He will definitely enjoy it.”
DeLaGarza was not happy with the comments and took to Twitter criticizing Bell’s comments. he wrote:
“Come on man. Ask our wives and kids and parents and friends how fun it is to have you around us after we’ve lost games in MLS. We also don’t have one of the highest salaries in the entire football world.”
DeLaGarza has played his entire MLS career except for one season when he played with Rio Grande Valley on loan from the Houston Dynamo.
Lionel Messi admitted he wanted to return to Barcelona but had to move to the NBA to keep his future in his hands. He didn’t want to wait for the Catalans before finding out if he could join them.
He told Sport:
“I really wanted to go back. But, on the other hand, after living what I lived through, and after the exit I went through, I didn’t want to go through the same situation again and have to wait and see what was going to happen.
“I didn’t want to leave my future in the hands of others. I wanted to make up my own mind and for my family. Even though I’ve heard (in the media) that the league has accepted everything and it’s all right for me to come back, there’s still a lot more to do.” the missing “.
Marca reports that Al Hilal is determined to sign Lionel Messi and has offered him a world record €500m per season.
