Japan Cultural Centre inaugurated at AMA

Japanese Consul General in Mumbai Dr. Fukahori Yasukata inaugurated the Japanese Cultural Center at the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) on Friday. This will be the fifth activity center dedicated to her.

The Japanese Cultural Center aims to nurture friendly relations between Japan and India, particularly the state of Gujarat. Over the years, the centers in the AMA have enjoyed widespread recognition and goodwill for their vision and mission of making Gujarat a mini-Japan for India.

During the inauguration, Dr. Yasukata said, “It gives me great pleasure to be here at the opening ceremony of the Japanese Cultural Center at the AMA. The Zen-Kaizen Center at the AMA is one of the best Japan-related activities in India. The Japanese Cultural Center will be a symbol of true friendship between India and Japan I am also confident that it will show the appeal of Japan to the people of India.” The dignitaries also launched an exhibition of selected photos from the ‘Indo-Japanese Foto-Fest’. The exhibition will remain open to the public from Saturday to Tuesday between 12 and 7 p.m.
