Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that partnership between India and the United States can change the fate of the 21st century world, adding that the relationship is not a matter of “comfort but conviction” to make the world a better place.
“This partnership (between India and the US) is not based on convenience but on conviction. This partnership is a common comment for a better world,” Modi said, interacting with American professionals and the Indian diaspora on the final day of a four-day visit to the country.
He added, “After seeing bipartisan support for the Indo-American partnership, I am sure it can decide the fate of the 21st century.”

Prior to that, the prime minister met with tech chiefs from the US and India in Washington on the last day of the state visit. President Joe Biden and Modi met with CEOs including Apple’s Tim Cook and Microsoft’s Sundar Pichai and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella.
The CEOs discussed the tremendous opportunities and ways to deepen institutional cooperation in advanced technology and research and development between the two countries.

The Prime Minister emphasized the huge potential of harnessing India-US technology cooperation for socio-economic growth.
Prime Minister Modi also attended a lunch at the Foreign Office with Vice President Kamala Harris, the first Asian American to hold the number two position in the White House, and Foreign Secretary Anthony Blinken.
