Erin Blanchfield steps into the Octagon to take on a formidable opponent in the form of a former title contender at UFC Singapore on August 26.
‘Cold Blooded’ and Taila Santos are set to compete in the women’s explosive flyweight division. The main event of Fight Night was initially scheduled to take place in February, but unfortunate circumstances prevented the bout from happening as Santos’ guards were unable to secure visas for the United States.
Erin Blanchfield pulled off her biggest victory to date by submitting former champion Jessica Andrade in a second round main event showdown at UFC Vegas 69. It also positioned her as a major contender for a shot at UFC Gold.
Blanchfield made waves recently when she expressed her desire to compete for the vacant bantamweight championship, following the retirement of the legendary Amanda Nunes.
