Dabang Delhi KC captain Naveen Kumar has named Royal Challengers Bangalore as his favorite IPL team. Kumar said he loved Virat Kohli and supported his team in the Indian Premier League.

Pro Kabaddi League and Indian Premier League are two of the most watched sports leagues in India. Virat Kohli has made guest appearances on PKL before, and many Pro Kabaddi stars have named him as their inspiration.

While appearing on Pro Kabaddi’s beyond the mat Show, Naveen Kumar was asked to name his favorite IPL team.

“My favorite team is RCB. Virat Kohli’s team. Yes, I am a fan of Virat Kohli,” replied the Dabang Delhi KC star.

While Naveen does not play for Bengaluru-based Al-Imtiaz in the Pro Kabaddi League, it is pertinent to note that Kohli’s hometown is Delhi, the team Naveen plays for in the PKL.

“The first name I heard was Sachin Tendulkar” – Naveen Kumar reveals the story behind his shirt number

In the same chat, Naveen Kumar revealed why he wears the number 10 jersey in Pro Kabaddi League matches. Kumar said he had seen Sachin Tendulkar achieve great success while wearing the number on his back, which is why he wanted to have the same number on his shirt in kabaddi.

“When I first saw cricket, the first name I heard was Sachin Tendulkar. My father used to watch matches on TV. He used to wear the number 10 shirt. He is a player who is considered to be the god of cricket,” said Naveen.

He concluded, “So, I wanted to make a similar impact if I became an athlete. I had the pleasure of wearing the number 10 shirt just from there.”

Naveen had led Delhi to the playoffs in the previous PKL season, but they were unable to defend their title. Delhi is aiming to regain its title in 2023-24.
