Virat Kohli has recently been enjoying a good time on public transport. In an Instagram photo, the 34-year-old can be seen reading a newspaper inside the metro. Kohli wore a black T-shirt with matching wristwatch and gray leggings to complete the look. He commented on the post:

“When you’re in the tube.”

For starters, the tube refers to the underground subway.

In a recent interview during IPL 2023, the former RCB captain said that he loves spending time in the UK as he cannot enjoy public life in India due to his popularity. He told Star Sports:

“I have not walked once in India and that is something I miss terribly. If someone would give me 12 hours, I would honestly walk. This is a different pleasure than walking on the road, going to any store you want, eating or buying something. I don’t even remember the last time.” I walked in on the road here.”

On the professional front, Virat Kohli failed to bat for Team India in the recently concluded ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. The right-handed batsman returned with scores of 14 and 49 as Rohit Sharma & Co. lost to Australia by 209 runs in the summit match.

This was Kohli’s second failure in a World Tennis Championship final. The former Indian captain scored 44 and 13 in the inaugural 2021 WTC final against New Zealand, as India lost by eight wickets under his captaincy.
