Juventus are said to be confident of keeping midfielder Adrien Rabiot at the club despite interest from Manchester United.

The French player’s contract with the Bianconeri is set to expire at the end of this month, and a new contract has not yet been signed. According to Sky Sports Italia, Juventus have offered him a one-year extension on the same terms as his current contract.

The Italian side are confident that Rabiot will sign an extension that will keep him at the club for at least another year.

The midfielder has gained interest from several clubs, including Manchester United. However, none of the offers are appealing enough to him and his mother, Veronique, who also works as his agent.

The Red Devils were closely linked with Rabiot last summer as well and were working on a £15m transfer fee. However, according to The Sun, it was Veronique’s demand for her son’s salary of around £240,000 a week that was the main reason the deal fell through.

Manchester United have also been eyeing Rabiot this summer and according to another report by The Sun, they have met his mother on a possible move. However, there is still nothing concrete about that.

But Rabiot played the 2022-23 season with Juventus. Scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 48 appearances across competitions.

He also helped France reach the 2022 FIFA World Cup final, as he contributed one goal and another assist in six matches.

Chelsea rejected another offer from Manchester United for Mason Mount

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea rejected Manchester United’s third bid for Mason Mount this summer.

The Red Devils’ third bid was £50m plus £5m, but the Blues rejected it. They put a counter-offer on the table of £58m plus £7m in add-ons.

Mount’s contract with Chelsea is set to expire in 2024 and he insists he will not sign a new deal. Thus, the Blues will need to sell him this summer or risk being allowed to leave for free next year.

The England player has already agreed terms with Manchester United but the two clubs remain separate in assessing the transfer fee.

Mount had a poor 2022-23 season, contributing just three goals and six assists in 35 matches across competitions.

Overall, the 24-year-old has been one of Chelsea’s key players since making his debut in 2019. The Cobham graduate has contributed 33 goals and 37 assists in 195 appearances for the club.
