Tim Anderson of the Chicago White Sox is one of the most skilled players in MLB. Over the course of his eight-year career, all of which were in Chicago, Anderson earned a Silver Slugger and a pair of All-Star distinctions.
On June 24, Anderson made his first career MLB start at second base after being knocked out of the lineup the previous week with shoulder problems. HIs poise at the center was noted after playing second place for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic in March.
Despite his solid play, Tim Anderson has been repeatedly criticized throughout the baseball world for his attitude. The Alabama native has referred to baseball as “boring” and has been suspended before for some rather obnoxious behavior.

In 2022, he was disciplined for using racial slur against Kansas City Royals player Brad Keeler. He was also suspended for 3 matches for hitting his head on a referee. Apparently, Tim Anderson’s “Swagger” isn’t all it’s made of.
Recently, a Chicago White Sox fan took to Twitter to slam Anderson for his bad attitude, which he’s been bringing up for a number of seasons. In the post, the fan pulled no punches.

According to the fan, Anderson’s play on the field could have made him a fan favorite in the city of Chicago. However, his many displays of bad attitude made him less popular than he had hoped.
With no home runs and just 11 RBIs in 53 games for the White Sox this season, fans are looking forward to Anderson to put together the team. With a 32-45 record, the White Sox are fourth in the AL Central, seven games behind the Minnesota Twins.
Tim Anderson needs to show more respect for the game
Anderson’s seven-year, $37.5 million contract at club option expires at the end of the season. Unless Anderson wants to look for a job in the off-season, he better start showing fans that he can be counted on, and that he respects them, too.
