Police said on Saturday that at least seven people have been arrested after a fight broke out between staff at a posh bar in Mumbai and some customers. The incident was reported at Escobar’s bar in Bandra, where a fun weekend night turned into a nightmare after a heated altercation between staff and customers turned into a brawl.

A video of the incident circulated on social media, in which bar staff and customers can be seen fighting each other using brute force.

In the first half of the clip, the staff can be seen using bars to beat up customers inside the pub’s premises. As the video progresses, employees are shown punching and kicking customers, while pushing the indoor elevator into the traffic area.

According to Banda Police, the fight was reported around 1 am on Saturday when a few young men were at the bar.

“There was some controversy, after which the club’s guards crushed the customers. A case was registered after a complaint was registered and seven people were arrested accordingly.”

The incident came days after a quarrel broke out between customers and restaurant staff at Spectrum Mall in Sector 75, Noida over service charges on the bill.

Recently, a similar incident was reported at The Orange Mint restaurant in Vikhroli, Mumbai where staff were seen mercilessly beating a group of youths.
